Annual Be A Hero Event
Annual Be a Hero Day is a day to honor the male figures who have, and continue to participate in the education of their Head Start child. The annual event is one of the ways we welcome fathers, grandfathers, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors who play a significant role in the lives of our preschool children.
Read Across America
Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2nd, the birthday of beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss.
We encourage positive male role models to help develop a love for reading to their Head Start child. A commitment of one hour is all that is needed to participate in this worthy and rewarding event.
